Things that I am scared of...

I don't know what is wrong with me, but I am literally terrified of the dark. Refer to this post for one experience http://jenandtonygrimshaw.blogspot.com/2008/05/storm.html

Tony has been out of town for work, and I almost lost my mind sleeping here all by myself. First I put Madilynn to bed She told me that she left her blanket upstairs, and asked if I would go get it for her.... It is dark upstairs. So I casually tell her that if she wants it I wouldn't care if she got out of bed to get it. So instead of me going I send my five year old! She didn't care because she is so brave! The rest of the night I was miserable. I kept hearing people walking in and out of my house! Apparently, it was just the wind mixed with my imagination, but I didn't sleep at all! So when the night comes I sleep at my mother in laws and then come back home in the morning! I know I am being lame, but I get sleep! Plus, the other night I slept right through Sophie crying, but my sweet mother in law was up most of the night with her! OOPS! (but I really had a good nights sleep!)

I am scared of hobos..(I know that "hobos" isn't politically correct, but I am scared)

I walked out of Lord of the Rings. Tony was a little upset at this one, but I was scared. So he got over it.

I am scared of cats. I think that they are going to jump on my face and claw me to death.

One time, my mom and I went out of town , and all of the Hannibal movies were on TBS. My mom watched the entire Hannibal story (she falls asleep during scary movies, they must be peaceful to her?) I was trying to ignore them, but we were in a hotel! where was I supposed to go? She will never live this down, and I hope she is happy!

It's ok Jen. I hate it when i have to stay alone too. I am not scared of the dark but I have a really hard time going to sleep at night if he isn't here. I find I stay on the couch until I fall asleep and then when I wake up at
3 am I am so tired that when I get into bed I fall asleep really fast and don't have time to think about the guy that is hiding in my closet ready to attack me as I sleep.

Being home alone is the worst- you can always bang on my door in the middle of the night (if you dare to come outside)if you need to.

That is so funny! I am terrified of Cats. Literally, I have bad dreams that they are chasing me with their pussy eyes and want to claw and hiss at me. One time two kittens came in our back door and I jumped on top of the washer. Sam put them outside. Also, I get completly freaked out when Josh is gone. Everyone sleeps in my bed and I sleep with the phone in my hand and memorize how to do 911 in the dark. I am just glad you are as pathetic as I am!

You're not the only one who is scared of the dark. I'm terrified!!! I hate staying at home alone, especially at night. I seriously have done the same thing and sent Garrett after something because I didn't dare go. Oops!

Do you even know what a hobo is? You're silly! I remember that night with Hannibal. Remember you made me go outside to throw your dirty-diaper away? Sorry I could not be scared with you. I just have clarity about what is real, and what is not (ha, ha).

Just to clarify - Maddie was a baby in diapers when Jen and I did the whole Hotel-Hannibal night. But it really WAS Jen's diaper - she was THAT scared!

Oh my gosh!!!! You are so funny! i'm glad I'm not the only wimp out there! I
I am terrified of hobos under bridges, (by that I think you mean bums on the street??) ON my honeymoon for 25 cents we got a drunk serenade from a bum on a pier, so romantic, but walking back to our hotel we had to cross under a dark bridge and there were some bums under there and one of them came right up to me looked at me with his crazed drug induced eyes then he grabbed my butt!! I was glad that was all. Me and Jared just booked it back to our hotel. And on the way my husband swore there were 3 people following us. Ahhh the slums of Seattle.....I'll never forget it

Hi Jen:

I'm scared of the dark too, and when my husband goes out of town, I put a chair in front of the bedroom door, so no one can come in. Of course, my kids are grown, so I don't have to worry about that. If you're interested I have a health and wellness blog and you can visit me at http://www.newrinkles.com.

Thanks,

Geri
